The polls say
that voters are fed up with him.

They hate the way he sticks
his agenda right in their faces.
They hate his
showmanship and the flaunting of his ability to be at any
location at any given moment as a result of the abuse of his power.
His
party is fighting against opponents who have
branded it a collection of
"swindlers and
thieves"
and
are combating a growing sense of unease among
voters.

Last month his
agenda was booed at a sporting event.
Many
voters are fed up with widespread corruption and
a huge gap between the wealthy and the poor.
There is even early talk of election fraud.
According
to a popular radio network watchdog:
"No one expected such a sharp
downfall...this is a bad climate...he has got used to the
fact that he controls everything...how can he go into a
presidential campaign
[with] embittered people against their leader?"
The consensus opinion is that
the ruling party will be losing much of its power and that
their dear leader's
return as president next year
is in serious jeopardy.

If you've been
reading the news today you may already have realized
that the previous paragraphs contain references to stories
about Sunday's
parliamentary elections in Russia -- the lead-up to an election
next year that could return Vladimir Putin to Russia's presidency.
Domestic
lefties, of course, will try to convince you that I'm
doing a hatchet job on Obama. But the rest of you
certainly have a sense of humor and the ability to appreciate interesting
coincidences and the irony that often dwells in the juxtaposition of
current events.
