The polls say that voters are fed up with him.

The polls say that voters are fed up with both Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin.

They hate the way he sticks his agenda right in their faces.

They hate his showmanship and the flaunting of his ability to be at any location at any given moment as a result of the abuse of his power.

His party is fighting against opponents who have branded it a collection of "swindlers and thieves" and are combating a growing sense of unease among voters.

His party is fighting against opponents who have branded it a collection of "swindlers and Both Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin are combating a growing sense of unease among voters.

Last month his agenda was booed at a sporting event.

Many voters are fed up with widespread corruption and a huge gap between the wealthy and the poor. There is even early talk of election fraud.

According to a popular radio network watchdog: "No one expected such a sharp downfall...this is a bad climate...he has got used to the fact that he controls everything...how can he go into a presidential campaign [with] embittered people against their leader?"

The consensus opinion is that the ruling party will be losing much of its power and that their dear leader's return as president next year is in serious jeopardy.

If you've been reading the news today you may already have realized that the previous paragraphs contain references to stories about Sunday's parliamentary elections in Russia -- the lead-up to an election next year that could return Vladimir Putin to Russia's presidency.

Domestic lefties, of course, will try to convince you that I'm doing a hatchet job on Obama.  But the rest of you certainly have a sense of humor and the ability to appreciate interesting coincidences and the irony that often dwells in the juxtaposition of current events.

Obama = Putin.

Mahalo blog-guy for a good laugh. I'm a big fan of the Mad Magazine type humor you bring...

"...arrogant narcissistic commie....." As a :"younger" person I remember a commie, that I sort of took a "likin to". He ran for President 4 times, but never got more then 59,000 votes (by the by - not my vote). He was accused by the commies of using 2 million dollars of Party money for his chauffeured car and private golf club membership (must have been some car and golf club). He was a rather entertaining sort of fellow, big smile, and was often seen on the "party circuit" and few took him seriously - except the FBI - and he did spend some time behind bars (as in jail and apparently bars of a different nature). Nah! Gus Hall was not an arrogant narcissistic commie, perhaps more of a Commie/Capitalist with a penchant for nice cars, golf and some of the finer things in life.

[Not sure if you realize what a good description of Putin's American counterpart you evoke with your Gus Hall story, m'lark. -ED]

Just one of your "coincidences" that is HUGELY wrong between Obama and Putin:  Pres. Obama controls very little and has very little power now.  CONGRESS controls most everything and has the most power.  Look how the Republicans won't approve anything, period, that might give this administration credit.  Republicans are holding this country hostage for political purposes.  Not what they were elected to do or paid to do, by the way.

(Not so)smartlady...

...why don't you rail at Harry Reid to take the 16 jobs bills passed in the House out of his desk drawer and AT LEAST allow a discussion?

Of course, that's the LAST thing Reid wants to do. Such discussions would force the liberal media lapdogs to acknowledge them and undercut Obama's campaign "strategy" of lying about Congress.

obama wishes he was half as smart and half as manly as Putin.  on the other side he is half as corrupt.

[Aw, c'mon Dez...give the guy some credit.  He's way more than half as corrupt as Putin. -ED]

LMAO@ed.

Since when is Putin a commie? The fact of the matter is that he lost TO THE COMMUNIST PARTY

Putin is a little man with an Obama complex that is quite well explained in the latest DSM volume. In essence, "A Napoleonic complex that encompasses a great many other psychiatric diagnoses." In defense of Putin, at least he knows how to use an umbrella...
