   Defending the right to rant!

RIGHT AWAY!!!                                                                                                                    click here to subscribe to the eddobloggo RSS feedsubscribe via RSS

One of the oft-repeated phrases for which Barack Obama has become infamous is "You must pass this legislation before an emergency becomes a catastrophe."  We're all sick of hearing that particular "gimme the money" mantra simply because it has proven to be nothing more than unproductive scare-tactical rhetoric each and every time it has been invoked. Our collective nausea is reflected in Obama's ever-declining poll numbers and approval ratings.

Mikhail Sergeyevich GorbachevThe phrase "shovel-ready jobs" was sheepishly walked back, after two years of expensive failure, by none other than your Dear Leader himself. His latest declarative, "Pass this bill...RIGHT AWAY!" is a see-through attempt to sound like Ronald Reagan did when he demanded, in a speech to Berliners, "Mr. Gorbachev, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!" -- a lame attempt at stopping the poll bleeding by modifying the tone of his cry-wolf rhetoric.

But for someone who has had the pressing issue of jobs creation on his plate for nearly three years who, instead, pursued ideology-driven legislation along with his own self-aggrandizing interests, it is beyond hypocrisy that he now masquerades as the decisive, effective, conservative, heroic man that was so unlike himself. Meanwhile, the leftist base continues to vilify Ronald Reagan, ignoring his remarkable ability to unify Americans while they continue to defend the poser who polarizes Americans by routinely engaging in class, race and ideological provocation.

Everything Obama says is shovel-ready. Watch your step.

"Unemployed union construction workers ready to get their hands dirty" has replaced "shovel-ready jobs" in the lefty lexicon.

The word "stimulus" has been declared verboten by Nancy Pelosi.

The Reaganesque emphatic repetition of the phrase "Pass this bill...RIGHT AWAY!!! has replaced "You must pass this legislation before an emergency becomes a catastrophe."

I'm not sure how our legislators will reply to the latest condescending throw-down but I know what I would say to Barack Hussein Obama in front of as large a gathering as possible in the prime-est time available if I were a member of Congress:

Mr. Obama, sign your name at the bottom of this letter of resignation before the catastrophe that is your administration becomes the death of the USA. Use as many pens as you like but...

...DO IT RIGHT AWAY!!!

A rack of Spam after listening to this BLEEP's jobs speech yesterday.  Did he throw down the gauntlet to congress while the 'vulnables' have both hands out?  Absolutely - he needs the votes as more Donkeys abandon him...

Obama made me laugh when he came on like he's a bad sss.  Nothing like a trembling pansy for comic relief...you could almost see his Depends loading up.

"Unemployed union construction workers ready to get their hands dirty"

And the unemployed NON-union workers? Looks like they are just SOL.

I counted "right away" seven times in this speech. I guess this replaced Obama's "the time is now". It's funny that Obama is always in a big hurry to push thru his plans...yet drags he his feet on stuff like responding to the oil spill or pondering for months whether to send back up troops to Afghanistan when requested.

The only thing that's going to stop the BS known as obama is an election. He's a socialist, community organizer to the core and that hurts Americans.

I listened to the speech. There were some things in this speech that would actually be good for this country. Unfortunately it is so buried in the same old nonsense the first stimulus package was suppose to take care of that you know that the cookies thrown in were to appease those of us with conservative values. I want to hear how this is going to be paid for and how they are going to cut through all the red tape this government has set up that makes it impossible to actually have a shovel-ready job. I feel like a watched a campaign speech and not an address to the nation that a president should be giving...the health care plan was passed on a "pass it and see what it is in it." Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

He is a classic narcissist.  If it's not about helping him, he's not interested.  Just watch his poll numbers go down.

Didn't bother listening to the speech. I don't get television anymore anyway (which is a blessing for both me and my child). I figured if Obama did more than the same old song and dance, the media would be alive with the NEWS!!!

Now, I heard he's got a jobs plan, on paper, he's going to deliver to Capitol Hill today. Must've seen the results of the polls after the teleprompted delivery of his same old BS. Or was it his television ratings that he saw? I notice that the same media outlets so quick to announce the ratings on the recent Republican debate are strangely silent on Obama's latest televised, teleprompted campaign screed.

I'm sick of the guy. He needs to resign and give Biden a shot at finishing his term before he's booted out. If I have to choose between an old clown and a young energetic anti-american half african-american muslim-loving marxist, I think the clown is a lot less destructive to the nation. Besides, there is always the entertainment factor to consider as a plus.
