If thinking about the death or incapacitation of the president makes you squeamish click away from this page now. Similarly, if talk of impeaching Obama or forcing his resignation is troubling to you, please consider yourself excused.
|
Loyal Democrats, especially, are expressing their concern that if and when the Big Wipeout occurs the new majority will go after Obama with a vengeance -- leading one to believe that even lefties are aware that impeachable offenses have been committed and that conviction would be a distinct possibility.
But to other than those of us with an extremely robust sense of justice, the prospect of elevating Obama's successor to the highest office in the land by any means or through any misfortune is not exactly what disgruntled conservatives have been fantasizing about.
Furthermore, if death, impeachment or resignation were to somehow
simultaneously rid us of both Obama and Biden people would be calling Nancy Pelosi Madame President in accordance with the current line of succession. Roll those words around your mouth a few times and it becomes abundantly obvious that, in the absence of a Republican Speaker of the House, the combined removal of Barry and Joe would be like jumping directly from the frying pan into the fire.
With a new speaker, however, the GOP majority could (if aided by a perfect storm) run the entire table. They could have a Republican president along with one or both houses of Congress without having to wait until the 2012 elections -- kind of like the way Obamacare got "passed".
Is that too hypothetical and too far out there for you? Well, did you ever, in your wildest dreams, believe (including you far-lefties who have chided your Dear Leader for not being Marxist-socialistic enough) that a perfect storm would enable...
-
2500-page bills to be passed into law without anyone ever reading them.
-
The national debt to be tripled in less than six months.
-
The promise of transparency to be ignored by, among others, three dozen non-accountable czars concocting an agenda in the White House that is the antithesis of the beliefs and desires of all but the hard left.
-
A program encompassing nearly one quarter of our economy to get crammed down our throats in spite of nearly two-thirds of Americans' vehement opposition to it.
-
Unemployment to hover around 10% despite spending a trillion dollars to keep it below 8% while the federal government has grown by nearly 25%.
-
The administration to bring suit against one of the states for a law that was democratically passed by a large majority of its own citizens and which is supported by the vast majority of Americans.
Now that Bush-bashing has lost its cache to the extent that "anti-war" BHO voluntarily praised GWB's wartime sincerity and conduct during a recent press conference, can you understand how the demonizing of House Minority Leader John Boehner has evolved into an urgent, last-ditch (pun intended) effort to reverse the anti-Obama tide?
The winds of the Democrats' perfect storm in 2008 were, of course, fueled by any number of emergencies and those winds are blowing again as a result of expensive band-aid solutions and the creation of new, farther-reaching potential emergencies and catastrophes -- all part of the failure of the erstwhile superstar and his supporting cast of incompetents who would gladly continue their bobble-head support of Obama's agenda if only the Big Wipeout wasn't suddenly looming so large on the horizon.
Such factors have the potential to combine and create yet another perfect storm; this time for those who have steadfastly refused to be a party to the yes-ing of Obama's carelessness, arrogance and incompetence.
