Before the hair-trigger firing of Shirley Sherrod, the dropping of charges against Obama loves to talk about the gangstas on his iPod playlist. voter-intimidating New Black Panthers, the self-admitted fact-less criticism of the Cambridge, MA police department and the countless implications of racism that have been cast at anyone who dares to disagree with the president for any reason, there was African-American candidate Obama promising post-racialism while doing his very best to be perceived as a Black candidate, serving only to divide the race-obsessed even more. Before his more recent The View revelation that Jay-Z is on his iPod playlist the following rant was presented on 8/1/08 -- a full three months before Obama's election...

We hear them every day rolling through suburban and rural America; sound systems thumping out gritty hard-core inner city raps through strategically wide-open car windows. Wannabe kids with Euro-ethnic surnames trying hard to make their involuntary listeners believe that they actually live the gangsta life and have suffered the urban iniquities being verbalized by the rappers.

Another wannabe -- Barack Obama -- once took pains to publicly proclaim his enjoyment of rap superstar Ludacris' poetic art. Of course, because he is a well-educated forty-something yuppie, Obama listens to Ludacris through the ear buds of his iPod.

Being brought up abroad and in such far-from-the-ghetto states as Kansas and Hawaii and having been nurtured, in part, by an average white grandmother about whom he has revealed "...[she] once confessed her fear of black men who passed her by on the street [and] on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe," Obama has about as much to do with the gangsta life as Joey Roma, Jason Katz or Kevin Kelly idling their rides in front of Wal-Mart with their car stereos cranked to the max.

Obama cringed again yesterday as a result of the latest vile poetry of his friend, Ludacris. On the candidate's behalf, the Obama Campaign promptly labeled Ludacris as "outrageously offensive" after the poor gangsta had pulled out all the stops in his latest rap in an effort to convince people to elect Obama.

Ludacris used the B-word to describe Hillary Clinton, dissed the current President by referring to him as a mentally handicapped person and advocated paralysis over office-holding for John McCain in the process. But this is the kind of imagery that genuine rap fans have come to expect from their edgy superstars. So if the cringer has actually been listening to this genre he has certainly heard harsh words and insensitive characterizations before.

the H-word and every four-letter word in the book. By design, therefore, rap is neither polite nor politically correct and it is rife with themes that are completely antithetical to the family values and political philosophies being globally professed by our nation's first serious presidential candidate of color.

It is naive to believe that Barack Obama did not realize how anti-socially obscene Ludacris' material can be if, in fact, it has actually been part of the candidate's iPod playlist. Thankfully, since we have never been exposed to the full wattage of the CD player of Obama's rides, we are forced to accept his word as truth, along with all the other "look how black Barack is" stories that he tells.

Or was his earlier acknowledgement and praise of Ludacris just a contrived photo-op designed to get the bi-racial candidate some street cred in the African-American community? Was it just another of those made-to-look-spontaneous knuckle banging moments?

Obama and Rev. Wright in happier times. It was a stretch for anyone to have believed that Obama never realized -- until the media abundantly exposed those "looped-together" videos of Rev. Jeremiah Wright in action -- that his spiritual advisor had been saying some very racist and anti-American things from his pulpit during the twenty-year time frame that coincided with the Obamas' church membership.

It is just as "ludacris" to believe that Barack Obama is a real Black candidate for president as it is to believe that every thumping ride has a real gangsta behind the wheel.

[That is true, of course. The fact that, on the two-year anniversary of this Ludacris de-bunking, their Dear Leader was back on TV talking about yet another rapper on his iPod is ample proof that he can get away with any kind of bs with his remaining lefty base -- over and over and over... - ED]

Of course the Prez never heard Ludacris' material. After spending 20 years in Wright's church tells me the President is Deft.

Well, either that or just plain stupid.

You need to expand your musical tastes Ed. It was Ludacris' "Get Back" that Tom Cruise was busting a move to at the end of Tropic Thunder. Luda was also a guest on the Simpsons (he wrote a jingle for the American Dental Association called "Dirty Mouf"... very funny!)

Whether singing along about h**s in different area codes... or administering the lyrical therapy of "Move B**ch" while stuck in I-94 traffic... I'm proud to say I gots me some Luda on my I-pod! ;-)

[But then again, you haven't exploited your Ludalove to make points with voters. I've been a Bob Marley fan since the first time I heard the original version of "Concrete Jungle" but I would never make believe I smoke ganja to make a sale to a stoner. -ED]

Too many Americans have become paralyzed, terrorized and in complete fear of being labeled "racist" and those who choose to exploit others by using that description lick their chops at the reaction it creates and how defensive people become. Judging from the events described above and the recent immigration controversy in Arizona, I have come to realize that the term is used most frequently when a legitimate argument can't be made to support a Liberal position. Gee, my comment must be racist because I accused people of using the term racist.

The Charges were dropped by the Bush Justice Department, Sherrod is suing the right winger who conveniently edited the video to make it appear Sherrod was racist .....so what's your beef with Obama...on this one ? Perhaps eddo should do some research so his blogs can be more truthful/

[Regarding the Panther episode, here's what whistle blower Adams (a Bush administration hold-over) says... “I was told by Voting Section management that cases are not going to be brought against Black defendants for the benefit of White victims. That if somebody wanted to bring these cases, it was up to the US Attorney but the Civil Rights Division wasn’t going to be bringing it.” My beef with Obama in the Sherrod case is that -- regardless of what one cares to believe about the NAACP or Breitbart -- the administration directed her to be summarily fired the minute they learned that the tape had hit the media -- before she was even investigated for malfeasance. -ED]

Based on his actions after assuming the role of President, Obama has consistently demonstrated his street-creds. And the American people should view him as an armed and dangerous gangsta.
